The Horned Frogs entered the game third in the College Football Playoff rankings and are hopeful Saturdays effort will impress the selection committee enough to keep them in the exclusive four-team field, which will be announced Sunday. Boykin was 30-of-41 for 460 yards and added 44 yards on eight carries. Aaron Green rushed for 104 yards and a score and also caught a touchdown pass for TCU (11-1, 8-1 Big 12), which will be co-conference champions with Baylor -- the only team to defeat the Horned Frogs this season. Sam B. Richardson completed only 16-of-40 passes for 152 yards and one interception for the Cyclones (2-10, 0-9), who concluded the season with six consecutive losses. The Horned Frogs opened the scoring on a trick play. Boykin threw a backward pass to the left side of the field to wide receiver David Porter, who fired back across to the TCU quarterback. Boykin then followed a convoy of blockers as he raced down the right sideline for a 55-yard touchdown 5 1/2 minutes in. TCU marched 86 yards in 12 plays on its next possession and went up 14-0 on Greens 3-yard touchdown run.
